Social media is a very complex platform and there are many different aspects that people may use to share content. I decided to look at the different websites that one can share content on and how different they all are. Along with that I took a look at how many people use the websites per month. The first site that I looked at was Facebook which is a site that is used to post about anything that you want using only words or pictures if you would like. Facebook is the most popular of the group at roughly 168 million users. Twitter is very similar to Facebook, except that it is a lot more people in the younger generation which makes it a little bit less popular overall. Instagram, Pinterest and Snapchat are all similar sites in which the user primarily uses pictures to display and post whatever they are trying to communicate.
